  9. This diskette contains new release versions of IniSpy which operates in
  10. MS-Windows 3.1 on computers with an 80386 or higher processor.

  21. Installation
  22. ============

  24. Copy both INISPY.EXE and FUNCHOOK.DLL into the same directory, e.g., PRUDENS.
  25. Add the IniSpy icon to a Windows group, e.g. Main, Startup, or one of your
  26. own design. When IniSpy executes for the first time, a file - INISPY.INI -
  27. will be created in your Windows directory.

  30. Uninstallation
  31. ==============

  33. Delete INISPY.EXE, INISPY.INI, and FUNCHOOK.DLL (this last file ONLY IF you
  34. are NOT using other spy members from PRUDENS, INC. - EXESPY, MorePath,
  35. ResSpy, ComSpy, or DLLCheck). Remove the IniSpy icon from the Windows
  36. group where you first placed it.

  39. Description
  40. ===========
  41. IniSpy allows you to monitor read and write activity by any 16-bit Windows
  42. application against all INI-style files in your system. It reports the values
  43. read and retrieved from INI files and attaches to the log the date and time
  44. the activity took place. You can spy on specific initialization files or
  45. select all INI-style files.

  48. Software Compatibility
  49. ======================

  51. IniSpy hooks into the Windows APIs that read or write INI files. In
  52. general, IniSpy should be fully compatible with all Windows programs.

  55. Limitations
  56. ===========

  58. INI Spy is fully functional, i.e. there are no disabled functions. However
  59. the unregistered version does have a 30 day evaluation period. After this time
  60. expires, you are expected to register the product or remove the utility from
  61. your system.
